Floral Trio Cards ☆ Alex Syberia Designs

 Hi! Crafty friends !

Today, I’d like to show you a card I made using the stunning “Floral Trio Press Plate” and stencils designed by Alex Syberia. It’s a truly wonderful design featuring three beautifully arranged flowers.

今日は、 Alex Syberia さんがデザインされた、素晴らしい Floral Trio Press Plate とステンシルを使って作ったカードをご紹介します。3つの花々が美しく配置されたとても素晴らしいデザインです。







I used a stencil for the background, cut out a square frame, and placed the frame inside the card. Additionally, for some of the cards, I applied metallic ink to the Floral Trio Press Plate  and used the Better Press Letterpress system  to press the flower outlines from both the top and bottom.



背景にステンシルを使い、四角いフレームのダイでカットし、フレーム部分をカードの中に入れました。さらにカードの中には Floral Trio Press Plate  にメタリックインクをつけて花のアウトラインをBetter Press Letterpress system で上下にプレスしました。





Ever since I started making pop-up cards, I’ve wanted to include something fun inside the card, not just a message.


ポップアップカード作るようになってから、メッセージだけではなく、カードの中にも楽しみを入れたいと思うようになりました。


If you apply ink with “Better Press” and then use the “Floral Trio” stencil, the ink along the edges tends to bleed and turn black or fade. So, I wondered if there was a way to apply the stencil first and then apply the ink.

表紙のFloral trioはBetter Pressしてからステンシルすると、輪郭のインクがこすれて黒くなってきたり、薄くなってしまうので、先にステンシルをする方法はないかな？と考えてみました。

Step1

Use a punch to cut a circle out of the edge of the cardstock, then attach double side tape.

Attach the cardstock to the Platen Panel using masking tape.

カードストックの端に丸をパンチで抜き、両面テープを貼ります。
 Platen Panel にカードストックをマスキングテープで貼ります。
まずは一度、薄いインクあるいは花に使いたい色の薄い色を選びそれをタップしてプレスします。 
Step2

I applied a light gray ink and pressed it. You might also try applying a thin layer of black ink and then wiping it off. Alternatively, I think a light pink or blue—something that won’t turn black—would work well.

Leave the round punch and the Floral Trio Press Plate in place without moving them.

薄いグレーのインクをつけてPressしました。黒インクを薄くつけてから一旦ふき取るくらいでもいいかもしれません。あるいは薄いピンクやブルーなど黒くならないものがいいと思います。

丸いパンチとFloral Trio Press Plate は、動かさずそのままにしておきます。

Step3

Gently peel it off and apply the stencil.

そっとはがして、ステンシルをします。


Step4

Align the circle from the punch with the circle on the cardstock after stenciling, then apply black ink to the Floral Trio Press Plate and letterpress it.

パンチの丸の位置とステンシル後のカードストックの丸の位置を合わせて、Floral Trio Press Plate に黒インクをつけてLettr Press します。



It ended up a little off-center; maybe the stencil was misaligned. Cut along the outline, leaving a white border. Cut out the outline, leaving a white border, and attach it with foam tape.

少しだけずれしまいましたが、ステンシルがずれていたのかもしれません。

白い淵を残して輪郭をカットしフォームテープで貼ります。

Featuring the Whimsical Village Collection

Hello Crafty friends! 

This month, I’ll be sharing projects featuring Spellbinders’ new June release: the  Whimsical Village Collection  designed by Vicky Papaioannou. This is a fun collection full of whimsy, featuring houses, flowers, clouds, and more.

今月は、Spellbinders の6月新商品 Vicky Papaioannou さんDesign の Whimsical Village Collection にフィーチャーした作品をご紹介していきます。家や花、そして雲など、遊び心がいっぱいの楽しいコレクションです。










Since I wanted to color all the Whimsical Houses Etched Dies  with ink, I gathered up scraps of paper I had previously made using Distress Stain Spray, die-cut them, and assembled them.

Whimsical Houses Etched Dies は、すべてインクで着色したいと思い、いままでDistress Stain Sprayで作ったペーパーの残りものをかき集めて ダイカットして組み合わせました。



When I want to keep the debossed areas—such as the roof and doors—white, I die-cut them from white cardstock and roll a brayer over them to apply ink. I think one of the key features of Spellbinders dies is that they produce crisp debossing down to the finest details. If you don’t have a brayer, you can also color these areas by tapping ink with a flat stamp ( An eraser is fine too).

屋根やドアなどデボス部分を白く残したいときは、白のカードストックでダイカットして、ブレイヤーを転がしてインクをつけるようにしています。Spellbindersのダイは、この細かなディテールまでしっかりとデボスされているのが特徴だ思います。ブレイヤーをお持ちでない方は、平らなスタンプ(消しゴムでもOK）にインクをつけて着色することもできます。


Similarly, I die-cut the whimsical flowers using the Whimsical Blooms Etched Dies , assembled them, and added a few touches with a white pen.　Debossing looks distinctly white.


同様にWhimsical なフラワーも Whimsical Blooms Etched Dies でダイカットして組み立て、白ペンを少し加えました。デボスがくっきり白くみえます。



For the background, I used patterned paper with a grid design for the daytime scene and dark navy cardstock for the nighttime scene, both die-cut using the “Scallop Labels and Tags” die.　I ran both through the   Whimsical Skies 3D embossing Folder   and applied ink to the embossed areas.

背景は、昼と夜に分けて、昼は罫線のパターンペーパーを夜は、濃紺のカードストックをScallop Labels and Tags でダイカットしました。それらを Whimsical Skies 3D embossing Folder でマシーンに通して、エンボス部分にインクをつけました。





We use a simple bumper mechanism to make these pop up.

A “bumper” is a mechanism created by folding paper into an M or W shape, which allows the card to pop up high with ease. It’s a very convenient pop-up mechanism because it flattens back down with just a push when you put it in an envelope.

After placing the Whimsical Blooms Etched Dies in the background, attach the bumper to make the Houses pop up.




これらを簡単な仕掛けのバンパーを使ってPop-up させます。

バンパーとは、MまたはWの字に紙を蛇腹に折った仕掛けで、簡単に高くポップアップさせることができます。封筒に入れるときはプッシュするだけで平らになるのでとても便利なポップアップの仕掛けです。 

背景にWhimsical な花を貼ってから、バンパーを取り付けて家をポップアップさせます。




 I selected “no place like home” and “home is where your heart is” from the Whimsical Wishes Clear Stamp Set and heat-embossed them using white embossing powder.

Whimsical Wishes Clear Stamp Set　から“no place like home”　と“home is where your heart is” を選びホワイトエンボスパウダーでヒートエンボス加工しました。

I die-cut clouds, a moon, a sun, a dog, a cat, and other shapes from the Whimsical Village Companions Etched Dies set, colored them, and added them to the project.

Whimsical Village Companions Etched Dies から、雲、月、太陽、犬、猫などをダイカットして着色して加えました。

Classic Mouse Wedding Pop-up Gate Fold Card

 I made a card using the Spellbinders Classic Mouse Wedding Collection again.

In this project, when you open the gatefold card, the center section pops up.

Spellbinders の Classic Mouse wedding Collectionを再び使って Card を作りました。今回はGate Fold Card でカードを開くとセンターがPop-up します。




For the cover, I tapped “Color Pallet Silver ” on Happiest Place press + Foil Plate , applied it to white cardstock using Better Press, then cut out the paper and adhered it.

表紙は、Happiest Place press + Foil Plate  に Color Pallet Silver をタップし、ホワイトカードストックにBetter Pressしてペーパーを作りカットして貼りました。



For this project, I’ve scored a purple cardstock sheet to a height of 1 inch so that the top and bottom of the center form rounded semicircles, and the heart in the middle pops up slightly lower than those.

今回はセンターの上下が丸く半円になり、中央のハートがそれよりも低くポップアップするように１インチの高さに紫のカードストックに折れ線を入れてます。






I attached ribbons, bells, and roses from the Classic Mouse Wedding accessories  collection to the semicircular pieces, which I had cut to a width of one inch on both the top and bottom.

I used Versa Fine Clair 　Nocturne  to stamp the Classic Mouse Wedding Sentiments press + Foil plate & Die set   and die set, then die-cut the design and adhered it to the card.

Just like last time, I used All purpose ink  Frost White  to coat the tuxedo and dress and then applied them to the mouse couple.

上下１インチの幅でカットした半円部分には、Classic Mouse Wedding accessories　のリボンとベル、バラを貼りました。
Classic Mouse Wedding Sentiments press + Foil plate & Die set をVersa Fine Clair 　Nocturne でBetter Press 後ダイカットして、そこに貼りました。

カップルは前回同様、All purpose ink  Frost White を使ってタキシードとドレスをコーティングして貼りました。



I used the Fancy Tags Three Die Set (discontinued) on both panels, placing the Classic Mouse Wedding accessories and Wedding Cake on the left panel, and the Wedding Rings and bouquet on the right. I used a small heart-shaped embossing folder as a background and attached it.

左右のパネルには Fancy Tags Three Die Set (廃版です）を使って、左のパネルにはClassic Mouse Wedding accessories Wedding Cakeを、右にはWedding Rings とブーケを貼りました。背景には小さなハートのドライエンボスフォルダーを使い貼りました。

Classic Mouse Fun Fold Card

 I created another card using the Classic Mouse Wedding Die Bundle collection.

This time, it’s a tri-fold card with a pop-up center panel for a fun surprise!







Classic Mouse Wedding Die Bundle Collectionを使って、またカードを作りました！

今回は、中央のパネルが飛び出す仕掛けの三つ折りカードで、楽しいサプライズが楽しめます！


Step1　



The tuxedos, shoes, and dresses from the Classic Mouse Wedding collection were die-cut from cardstock in various colors,

then coated with All purpose ink  Frost White  using a brush to add a glossy finish. These pieces were then layered and glued onto the body.


Classic Mouse Wedding のタキシードや靴、ドレスは各色のカードストックでダイカット後、
All purpose ink  Frost Whiteをブレイヤーで塗り光沢を出しました。それらをボディに貼り重ねます。


Step2

I die-cut the wedding cake, rings, champagne glasses, and other items from the Classic Mouse Wedding accessories set using cardstock, then assembled them.

I decorated the diamonds, cake, and champagne glasses with Stickles Crystal and Liquid Pearls.

Apply 　Color Pallet Gold pigment ink to the plate of the Classic Mouse Wedding Sentiments press + Foil plate & Die set press it, and then die-cut.


Classic Mouse Wedding accessories　のWedding CakeやRing、　シャンパーンなどカードストックでダイカットした後、貼り合わせました。
ダイヤモンド、ケーキ、シャンパーングラスはSticklesのクリスタルとリキッドパールでデコレーションしました。
Classic Mouse Wedding Sentiments press + Foil plate & Die set　に 顔料インク Color Pallet Gold をプレートにタップしPressした後ダイカットします。


Step3

Using the Make a Wish Arch Labels Etched Dies , cut out two frames from the pink cardstock. Die-cut two pieces of clear sheet, one piece of light pink cardstock, two pieces of the medium size, and two pieces of the smallest size, all to the same dimensions.

I embossed the light pink cardstock using the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder  . I love the elegant finish it creates.


ピンクのカードストックをMake a Wish Arch Labels Etched Dies を使い
フレームを2組作ります。同じ大きさで透明シートも2枚、薄いピンクのカードストックを１枚、中間の大きさを２枚、一番小さいサイズを２枚ダイカットします。

薄いピンクのカードストックをTufted 3D Embossing Folder でエンボス加工しました。とてもエレガントな仕上がりでお気に入りです。



Step4

Apply transparent film to the two die-cut frames.

ダイカットしたフレーム２枚に透明シートを貼ります。


Make fold lines at 1/4 inch, 1/4 inch to 1-5/8 inches, 1 inch, 1-5/8 inches, 1/4 inch, and 1/4 inch intervals.

Attach frames to the left and right sides of the structure, then attach a transparent sheet and another frame on top of them. Attach the 1-inch section shown in the photo to the back of the center panel, folding it into thirds as you attach it.

１/４インチ、１/４インチ1-5/8インチ、１インチ、1- 5/8インチ、1/4インチ、1/4インチの
幅で折り目をつける。




仕掛けの左右にフレームを貼り、その上に透明シートとフレームを貼ります。センターパネルの裏側に写真の１インチの箇所を貼り、三つ折りにFoldするように貼ります。


Step5

Attach the ribbon from the die-cut Classic Mouse Wedding accessories  " Save & Date " created using the Classic Mouse Wedding Sentiments press + Foil plate & Die set to the smallest Make a Wish Arch Labels Etched Dies , then affix them to the front of the tri-fold card.



ダイカットしたClassic Mouse Wedding accessories のリボンとClassic Mouse Wedding Sentiments press + Foil plate & Die set で作ったセンチメント" Save & Date " を、一番小さい Make a Wish Arch Labels Etched Dies  に貼り３つ折りの正面に貼ります。



On the back, I attached a ring from  Classic Mouse Wedding accessories  . I added a tulle ribbon to the background.



その裏側には、Classic Mouse Wedding accessories のリングを貼ります。
背景にチュールのリボンを入れました。


I felt that just the bouquet from the Classic Mouse Wedding accessories  on the right-hand panel looked a bit bare, so I created and added heart-shaped accessories for the tuxedo and dress. I embellished the layout with the “Mr. &  Mrs. ” sentiment from Happiest Place press + Foil Plate   .






右側のパネルには、Classic Mouse Wedding accessories のブーケだけでは寂しい感じがしたのでハートのモチーフでタキシードとドレスのアクセサリーを作り貼りました。Happiest Place press + Foil Plate   からセンチメント“MR &Mrs”を飾りました。



On the back, I added an arch sticker of the same size from the Make a Wish Arch Labels Etched Dies  , a wedding cake made with Classic Mouse Wedding accessories    and the sentiment “Happily ever after” from the Happiest Place press + Foil Plate   .




その裏側には、Make a Wish Arch Labels Etched Dies の同じサイズのアーチ貼り、Classic Mouse Wedding accessories で作ったWedding Cakeやシャンパーン Happiest Place press + Foil Plate   からセンチメント“Happily ever after”を飾りました。





On the center panel, I added a ribbon and bells from the Classic Mouse Wedding accessories , the Classic Mouse Wedding mouse couple, and the sentiment

“Just Married” from the Happiest Place press + Foil Plate    .



センターパネルにはClassic Mouse Wedding accessories のリボンとベル、Classic Mouse Wedding のマウスカップル、そしてHappiest Place press + Foil Plate   からセンチメント
“ Just Married ”を貼りました。
