Heroween Day 11 / So Fun Spinning Treat bag!

Let's use the dies from Day 11 of HEROween to enjoy some fun Halloween treats!

HEROweenの11日目のダイを使ってHalloween の楽しいお菓子を味わいましょう

I used the dies from Day 11 with the stamp set from the box for this adorable treat themed card.

このかわいいお菓子をテーマにしたカードを作るために、ボックスに入っていたスタンプセットと、11日目のダイを使いました。

When you slide the candy bag to stand it up, it starts spinning around.

お菓子の入ったバッグを立ち上げると、くるくると回り始めます。

Instructions for the Slide Treat Bag

Two bags with handles and a piece of paper 0.5 inches wide at the bottom

持ち手のついたバッグを2枚と底幅3/4インチの紙

For the sides, attach a piece of paper folded into a “w” shape, and attach a shorter piece—the same width as the bottom—inside the bag.

サイドはｗに折った紙を貼り、底と同じ幅で短いものを、バッグの中に貼ります。

Make two slits on the outer side of the side panel.

側面の外側に２本の切り込みを入れます。

After threading the paper through the slit, fold it into a ring to create a slide tab.

Make these on both sides.

切り込みに紙を通したら、リング状に折ってスライド用のタブを作ります。

これを両サイドにつくります。

Attach the slide tab and the paper you pasted inside it to the other bag.

スライドタブと中に貼った紙をもう一方のバッグに貼ります。

Attach the Day 9 and Day 4 candy elements to the slide bag so they are visible from both sides.

The Day 4 candy is designed to be used in combination with the stamps included in the HEROween Box.

スライドバッグに、Day9 とDay4お菓子のエレメンツを両方から見えるように貼ります。

Day4のお菓子は、HEROween Box の中に含まれているスタンプと組み合わせる仕様になってます。

I stamped “Trick or Treat” on the background of the base and decorated it with candy.

ベースの背景にもTrick or Treatのスタンプを捺し、キャンディを飾りました。

To ensure the card spinner is centered on the circle, punch a hole in the center of the circle and attach the card spinner so that its center aligns with the hole.

It's difficult to keep a three-dimensional object balanced when spinning it with a card spinner. To keep it flat, I attached a hard plastic circle underneath the paper circle.

カードスピナーが円の中心に貼るように、円の中心に穴をあけ、１cmカードスピナーの中心に合わせて貼ります。カードスピナーを使って立体物を回すのは、バランスをとるのが難しいです。平面を保つように円の紙の下に硬いプラスチックの円を貼り、平面を保つようにしました。

I gave the Halloween treats—one of the highlights of the holiday—a bright and playful look.

Heroween Day 10 / Interactive Card Featuring Two Cute Witches and a Bubbling Cauldron

Hi! Crafty Friends!

I would like to share you the project I made using the Day 10 die from HEROween!  

HEROweenの10日目のダイを使って作った作品をシェアします。

Kitty the witch and a little frog are riding a broomstick, sprinkling magic star dust into a cauldron from above. When the frog chants a spell, lots of bubbles start bubbling up from the cauldron. I turned this fun scene into a card.

魔女の子猫と小さなカエルがほうきに乗って、上から釜へ魔法の星の粉を振りかけてます。カエルが呪文を唱えると、釜から泡がたくさん出てきました。そんな楽しいシーンをカードにしてみました。

This mechanism works by attaching and securing a rotating shaft (rivet) to the arm; when the pull tab is moved in a straight line, the elements move in an arc.

これは、回転軸（リベット）をアームにつけて固定することで、プルタブを平行移動させたときに要素が円弧を描いて移動する仕掛けです。

Mechanism Step by step

A strip for a pull tab and a 1-cm-wide arm made of two layers of paper; a 1.5-cm circle

プルタブ用のstripと紙を2重にした1cm幅のアーム　 1.5cmの円

Use a pen to mark the width of the arm on the pull tab, then make two cuts that are that width.　Cut the circle in half and attach it to the end of the arm.

プルタブにアームの幅で印をペンでつけて、その幅の2本の切り込みを入れます。

円は半分にカットしてアームの端に貼ります。

Make two rings (bands) to move the pull tabs in parallel.

プルタブを平行に動かすためのリング（バンド）を2つ作ります。

Drill a hole in the arm for the rivet (rotation axis).

リベット（回転軸）のための穴をアームに開けます。

Since the holes are small, I’ll share a different method from the usual riveting technique.

Make two strips that are wide enough to fit through the holes.

小さい穴なので、いつものリベットとは違うものをシェアします。

穴に通る幅の2本のstripを作ります。

Thread them through the holes and bend them.

それらを穴に通し手から、折り曲げます。

Apply glue to them, and stick a 1.5-cm circle on top.

それらに糊をつけ、その上に1.5cmの円を貼ります。

Stick a circle on the back as well.

裏からも円を貼ります。

Apply adhesive to the circular part and the band, then attach the mechanism to the base.

円とバンドにのりをつけメカニズムをベースに貼ります。

Drill a small hole in the arm, insert a pen into it, and move the mechanism to trace an arc.

アームに小さな穴をあけ、そこにペンをさし、メカニズムを動かし円弧を描きます

Cut along the arc you drew with a utility knife, then insert the arm.

描いた円弧のラインをカッターでカットしまし、アームを差し込みます。

I colored the background using Distress Ink.

背景はDistress Inkを使って着色しました。

Attach the elements to the mechanism arm, stick on the other parts, stamp the letters.

エレメンツを仕掛けのアームに取り付け、そのほかの要素も貼って文字をスタンプして完成です。

I drew a stream of stars and bubbles, as if they were overflowing from a cauldron, after sprinkling some magical stardust.

魔法の星の粉を振りかけると、釜から泡が出るようにたくさんの星と泡を流れるように描きました。

Heroween Day 9 / A Peek- a -boo Pop-up Card

 Hi! Crafty Friends!

I would like to share you the project I made using the Day 9 die from HEROween! ! Since the HEROween  box is designed to be assembled a little bit each day, this time I’ve added the Dies from Day 7 and the “Ghost” from Day 3 to create a spooky yet fun peek-a-boo card.

みなさん、こんにちは！HEROweenの9日目のダイを使って作った作品をお見せします。HEROweenボックスは毎日少しずつ組み立てていく仕様なので、今回は7日目のダイと3日目のゴーストを加えて、不気味だけど楽しいピーカブーカードです。

The pumpkins seem to sense something eerie. Nearby, crows perch on the graves, as if laughing.

カボチャたちは何やら不気味なものを感じ取っているようです。そのそばで笑っているかのようにカラスたちがお墓の上に留まっています。

When you knock over the pumpkin panels, the graves pop up, and ghosts wearing hats appear. Skeletons and bones are scattered around the graves. On the grave in the center, a creepy hand reaches out from behind...

カボチャたちのパネルを倒すとお墓がポップアップして、ハットをかぶったゴーストたちが現れます。お墓の周りにには骸骨や骨が置かれています。真ん中のお墓には後ろから不気味な誰かの手が・・・・

Step by step

For the graves, I applied “Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke” directly to a silicone sheet, sprinkled water on top, and lightly tapped the paper to transfer the color.

お墓は、Distress Oxide Hickory smoke をシリコンシートに直接インクつけ、水を振りかけたものに、タップして着色しました。

I applied Distress Oxide ink in the colors “Seedless Preserves” and “Chipped Sapphire” to the background using a Blending Brush.

Dilute All-Purpose Ink in Pearl White with water, then sprinkle it on top using a cut-off straw.

背景はDistress Oxide ink Seedless preserves とChipped sapphire をBlenndling Brushで塗りました。オールパーパス・インク（パールホワイト）を水で薄め、切り取ったストローを使ってその上からふりかけます。

　

I stamped letters onto the grave and attached them to the pop-up base. I positioned them so that a ghost would be hidden behind the grave when the card was closed.

墓石に文字をスタンプで押して、ポップアップ式の土台に貼り付けました。カードを閉じたときに、墓石の後ろに幽霊が隠れるように配置しました。

I attached the Day 7 pumpkins and fence dies to a transparent sheet. These are classic dies that are very easy to use for Halloween scenes.

透明シートにDay7のカボチャと柵のダイを貼りました。これは、Hallowenのシーンにはとても使いやすい定番のダイです。

I finished the decoration using the “Jeepers Creepers” from Day 2, the bats from Day 5, the skeletons from Day 7, and the grass and crows from Day 9.

Day2の Jeepers Creepers、Day5 のこうもり、Day7の骸骨、Day9 の草やカラスなどを使ってデコレーションして仕上げました。

 This Peek-a-Boo pop-up card is so simple it needs no explanation.　When you flip the panel forward, the folded paper unfolds and simultaneously slides down, revealing what was hidden underneath.

説明が要らないくらいシンプルなピーカブーポップアップカードです。手前にパネルを倒すことで折りたたまれていた紙が開くと同時に下がることで隠れていたものが見える仕掛けです。
