A pop-up Card Using the “Mugs & Kisses” Collection

I made a pop-up card featuring the adorable tiny snowman die from the “Mug Friends” set in Spellbinders, the Mugs ＆Kisses collection.

Spellbinders の Mugs ＆Kisses collection の Mug Friends のとても愛らしい小さなスノーマンダイにフィーチャーしたポップアップカードを作りました。

Snow Man is floating gently on top of a cocoa cup. It looks just like he’s relaxing in a hot spring. When you open the card, the cup pops up high. Then another cup appears with Marshmallow Man standing on top of it, and when you open that cup, you can write a message inside.

スノーマンは、ココアカップの上をゆらゆらと浮かんでます。まるで温泉につかってくつろいでいるようです。カードを開くとそのカップは高くポップアップします。そして別のスノーマンが乗っているカップが現れて、そのカップを開くとメッセージが書き込めます。

Cover Background

1) Use the “Make A Wish Arch Labels die to cut the card-based cover into an arch shape.

カードベースの表紙部分を、Make A Wish Arch Labels のダイでアーチ型に切り抜きます。

2) For the background of the cover, I used the “Snow Joy” stencil from the Mugs ＆Kisses collection.

For the cover, I applied Versa Mark ink to cardstock using a sponge through the stencil. Then I sprinkled clear embossing powder over it and melted it with an embossing heat gun.　I then used a brush to blend Distress Ink in the color “Seedless Preserve” over the top.

表紙の背景には、 Mugs ＆Kisses collection のステンシル Snow Joy を使いました。

表紙は、カードストックにVersa Mark をスポンジを使って、ステンシルを通して塗ります。そしてクリアエンボスパウダーをふりかけ、エンボスヒーターで雪の結晶を溶かしました。

その上からDistress Ink　Seedless preserve をブラシでブレンディングしました。

Inside Background

3) For the background on the inside, I used a brush to apply Versa Fine Clair Hawthorn Rose ink using stencil ①.

インサイドの背景は、 Versa Fine Clair Hawthorn Rose のインクをステンシル① を使って、ブラシを使って塗りました。

I applied Versa Fine Clair Baby Pink ink with a brush using stencil No. 2.

Focal point Element

4) On the arch cut out in Step 1 using the “Make A Wish Arch Labels” die, dilute Distress Ink Vintage Photo with water and spatter it on.

1でMake A Wish Arch Labels でcutしたアーチにDistress Ink Vintage Photo を水で伸ばししぶきを飛ばします。

Apply the Mug Cup elements from the Mug Friends Etched dies , and then attach a 5mm Card Spinner on top of them.

Mug Friends Etched dies のMug Cup のエレメンツを貼り、その上に5ｍｍのCard Spinner 　を貼ります。

If I were to stick the snowman directly onto the Spinner, it would spin around, so I attached a washer underneath the snowman's body to act as a weight.

このままスノーマンをSpinnerの上に貼ると、くるくると回ってしまうので、スノーマンのBodyの下にワッシャーを重り代わりに貼りました。

Using “Make A Wish Arch Labels,” I used burgundy-colored frames on the front and back covers. For the element mats, I used pink arch die-cuts.

　Make A Wish Arch Labels を使って、バーガンディ色のフレームを表紙と裏面に使用しました。要素のマットにはピンクのアーチダイカットを使いました。

Pop Up Mechanism

5）Please see the photo for the dimensions of the pop-up mechanism.

ポップアップの仕掛けのサイズは写真をご覧ください。

The small triangular section is a key part that pops up, so cut out another piece of the same shape, glue it on, and reinforce it.

小さな三角の部分はポップアップさせる重要な部分なので同じ形をカットして貼り補強します。

Apply snowflakes using “Snow Joy ” only to the front part of the mechanism paper, just as you did with the background.

仕掛けの前の部分だけ背景と同様に Snow Joy を使って雪の結晶を施します。

While making sure the arch elements align in the same position when the card is closed, determine the placement of the mechanism.

Arrange two of them side by side in a V shape so that the top of the mechanism is visible through the arched window. Place the element on top of it.　

カードを閉じたときに、アーチの要素が同じ位置にくるように確かめながら、仕掛けの位置を決めます。2つをV字形に並べて配置し、アーチ型の窓から仕掛けの上部が見えるようにします。要素をその上に貼ります。

6）I used the “Mug Friends ” mug die on orange cardstock to make the mug open up so I could write a message inside. I placed another Snow Man on top of the mug.

オレンジのカードストックで Mug Friends のマグカップのダイを使ってカップが開くようにして、そこにメッセージを書き込めるようにしました。カップの上には別のスノーマンを立たせました。

Finally, I used the Mug Friends snowflake die to decorate the mug and the background with snowflakes. I added the title, and it was done.

最後に、Mug Friends Etched dies のスノーフレーク型抜きを使って、マグカップと背景を雪の結晶で飾りました。タイトルを添えて、完成です。

Combined with mugs, Snow Man, and snowflake backgrounds, these items are highly recommended for creating cozy, warm-hearted cards, tags, and other winter projects.

マグカップやSnow Man、雪の結晶の背景を組み合わせて、カードや、タグ、冬のプロジェクトに、ほんわかと温かみのある作品作りに大変おすすめのアイテムです。

Dashing through the snow | Whimsical Wheels holiday Pop-up Card

Let's get ready for a fun Christmas! Today, I'd like to share a holiday card I made using Hero Arts' Whimsical Wheels collection—a card filled with Christmas magic and anticipation. Santa is racing down a snowy path aboard the “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” car, which I made using the Hero Arts Beep Beep Die Set and the Hero Arts Beep Beep Holiday Extras Die Set . The pop-up slider mechanism makes it look as if he’s actually sliding right toward you.

楽しいクリスマスの準備をしましょう！今日は、Hero Artsの素敵なWhimsical Wheelsコレクションを使って作った、クリスマスの魔法と期待感に満ちたホリデーカードをご紹介します。サンタさんは、「赤鼻のトナカイ・ルドルフ」の車に乗って雪道を疾走しています。この車は、Hero Arts Beep Beep Die Set と Hero Arts Beep Beep Holiday Extras Die Set を使って作りました。ポップアップ式のスライダーのおかげで、まるでサンタがこちらに向かって滑り込んでくるかのように見えます。

creating pop-up mechanism :

Although the procedure is the same as in my previous post—and I know I’m repeating myself—I’d like to walk you through the steps for creating “Inside.”

前Post と同じメカニズムですが、復讐のつもりでinside の作り方をご紹介します。

1 sheet with 2.5 cm, 7 cm, 7 cm, and 7 cm ( 23.5 cm ×1inch)

4 sheets measuring 7 cm × 1 inch

1 sheet measuring 1.5 cm, 7 cm, and 1.5 cm　×１inch

のりしろスペース 2.5 cm、７cm、７cm、７cm（１インチ×22.5 cm）１枚

７cm×１インチ　4枚

のりしろ1.5cm、７cm、のりしろ1.5cm　１枚

On a single sheet of paper with margins of 2.5cm, 7 cm, 7 cm, and 7 cm (1 inch × 23.5 cm), please attach three 7 cm × 1-inch pieces of paper in the same positions on the sheet.

余白が2.5 cm、7 cm、7 cm、7 cm（1インチ×22.5 cm）の用紙1枚に、

7 cm×1インチの紙を3枚、その用紙上の同じ位置に貼り付けてください。

Fold it into a “Z” shape like this. このようにzの形に折ります。

Similarly, attach a 7 cm × 1-inch sheet of paper to the top of the 1.5 cm, 7 cm, and 1.5 cm sheet.

同様に、7 cm × 1インチの紙を、1.5 cm、7 cm、1.5 cmの紙の上部に貼り付けます。

Here's how to fold and use it. このように折り使います

Fold a 4-inch by 11-inch cardstock sheet in half, and attach it over the center fold like this.

Cut three pieces of paper measuring 7 cm by 4 inches. Stick those two sheets of paper onto the mechanism.

For the joints, applied a water-activated sheet (which has an adhesive coating like a stamp and is used by wetting it). While you can also use masking sheets or tape, the adhesive may show through at the folds, so we recommend using a thin sheet of paper instead.

継ぎ目には、水貼りシート（切手のように粘着コーティングが施されており、水で濡らして使用するもの）を貼りました。マスキングシートやテープを使用することも可能ですが、折り目部分から粘着剤出るため、代わりに薄い紙（コピー用紙）を使用することをお勧めします。

Creating a Snowy Background:

On a white cardstock base and a single sheet of 7 cm × 4-inch paper, I blended blue ink using masking tape to create a continuous snow-covered path, capturing the chill of a winter sky.

白のカードストックのベースと７cm×４インチの用紙１枚にに、マスキングシートで雪道がつながるように、青色のインクをインクブレンディングして、ひんやりとした冬の空を表現しました。

Next, I die-cut the tree from the Hero Arts Beep Beep Holiday Extras Die Set using several pieces of cardstock, and along with the base, I splattered ink to create a snowy effect.

次に、Hero Arts Beep Beep Holiday Extras Die Set を使って数枚のカードストックから木の形を型抜きし、ベースと一緒にインクを飛び散らせて雪が降ったような効果を出しました。

The Pop-Up Mechanism of Trees

I’ll attach the trees to the snowy road background, using adhesive foam to create a three-dimensional effect.

Determine the distance from the edge of the cardstock attached to the mechanism, and use a utility knife to make a slit in the section where the wood will be inserted.

雪道の背景に粘着フォームで立体感を出しながら木々を貼ります。

仕掛けに貼ったカードストックの端からの距離を測り、カッターナイフを使って、木を差し込む部分に切れ目を入れます。

Measure 2 cm and 3 cm from the center to the edge of the paper, leaving a 1.5 cm margin on each end, and fold the paper into a “Z” shape.

中心から木までの長さを図った２cm、３cm　にのりスペース1.5cm、を両端に取った用紙をｚの形に折ります

I inserted a piece of tree into one side and glued the other side to a card base backing.

片側に木の差し込み部分に、もう片側をカードベースの裏地に接着しました。

Connect the second sheet of 7 cm × 4-inch paper, attach it to the mechanism, and glue on the elements you made using the Hero Arts Beep Beep Die Set and Hero Arts Beep Beep Holiday Extras Die Set.

The “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” car is so cute.

７cm×４インチの用紙２枚目をつなげて、仕掛けに貼り、Hero Arts Beep Beep Die Set Hero Arts Beep Beep Holiday Extras Die Set を使って作った要素を貼ります。赤鼻のトナカイ号の車がとてもかわいいです。

Attach the third sheet of 7 cm × 4-inch paper to the Mechanism base so that the edges connect, and then attach the message box made with the Color Block Rectangles Die Bundle . I’ll stick the phrase “Dashing through the snow”—made using Hero Arts Winter Words Letter Press Foil and Cut and Versa fine Claire Strawberry—there.

When you open the card, this part slides out and pops up from the card.

７cm×４インチの用紙3枚目をつなげるように仕掛けに貼り、Color Block Rectangles Die Bundle で作ったメッセージボックスを貼ります。

Hero Arts Winter Words Letter Press Foil and Cut とVersafine Claire strawberry で作ったWordを“　Dashing through the snow”を貼ります。

カードを開いたときに、この部分がスライドしてカードから飛び出します。

Slider Mechanism :

Acetate Sheet　１インチ×４インチ　１枚　　1.5cm、１インチ、1.5cm、×1㎝　　１枚

Fold both ends 1.5 cm and apply double-sided tape.

透明シート　１インチ×４インチ　１枚　　1.5cm、１インチ、1.5cm、×1㎝　　１枚1.5cm、の両端を折り、両面テープを貼ります。

Attach a short acetate sheet underneath the third sheet of paper.

3枚目の紙の下に短いアセテートシートを取り付けます。

Thread another long acetate sheet through the short sheet, then attach it to the base.

Let's check if the card slides when you open it.

もう一枚の長いアセテートシートを、短いシートに通してから、ベースに貼ります.

カードを開いたときにスライドするか確認しましょう。

In my previous post, I made a cut, but this method makes it easier to slide.

前回の投稿では切り込みを入れましたが、この方法の方が滑らせやすくなります。

Cover　

I matted it with light blue cardstock, attached the cover featuring elements made from the Hero Arts Whimsical Wheels Beep Beep All Bundle , and it’s done.

水色のカードストックでマットして、Hero Arts Whimsical Wheels Beep Beep All Bundle で作った要素を貼ったカバーを貼って完成です。

I've created an exciting pop-up card that's brimming with anticipation—it feels as if Santa and Rudolph are about to come right this way!
