I created two types of cards that are slightly different.: one featuring a red truck driving through a winter forest, and another showing a dark blue truck traveling along a snowy road lined with houses. Both cards transform into three-dimensional "snow globes" when slid open. On the card with the dark blue truck, you can push and pull a tab to make the truck appear as if it is bumping along the snowy road.
I will explain in detail below how these cards were created.
A mechanism for moving a car interactively
Die-cut circles for the Snow Globe out of thin paper, then fold each one in half twice to locate the center point. Draw a 1-centimeter circle centered on that point and cut it out.
Using a transparent sheet (a sturdy one—in this case, 0.3 mm shrink plastic), mark the positions of the holes by tracing them with a pen, then punch the holes out. Draw a 1 cm circle, along with a larger, concentric 2 cm circle; then, make four cuts extending inward to the inner circle to create a rivet (a central pivot paper).
This is what it looks like from the back. The transparent sheet is simply threaded onto the rotating shaft.
Attach the transparent sheet and the two strips for the pull tabs to the base of the snow globe. When you move the pull tab y, the elements of the car move around the axis of rotation.
Snow Globe Pop-up Slider Mechanism :
Snow Globe
Prepare two sheets of paper for the pop-up mechanism, cut to the dimensions below, and color them.
Use the Snow Globe Etched Dies to create a background of houses, then attach the paper intended for the pop-up feature by aligning it with the bottom edge.
Apply white "Neon Amplify" to the paper representing the snowy path in the foreground of the snow globe, then use a heat tool to expand it, creating a texture that resembles accumulated snow.
I stamped a snowflake design onto a transparent sheet using "Staz On Snow Flake" ink. (I ended up deciding against it and removed the stamping.)
Place the snow globe cutout—which features an integrated sliding mechanism—onto the background scene depicting houses. Next, attach the pop-up mechanism along the bottom edge; when doing so, apply glue only to the two bands intended for the pull-tab.
Attach the "snow globe"—to which you have added a stamped snow effect—onto the pop-up paper.
You now have a 3D snow globe that stands up and moves interactively.
Attach this to the card base so that it pops up when you slide it.
Slider card mechanism:
Fold the edges of the paper cut with the Quilted Etched Dies at the 0.5-inch and 1-inch marks, then fold it in half by aligning the creases. For the navy paper that holds the slider, cut it to a size 1 cm larger than the card base and fold the front section.
Cut the navy cardstock using the Ripple Rectangle Frames Dies . Then, take light blue and white cardstock—cut using smaller-sized dies from the same set—and layer them together; secure them by attaching a piece of paper to the back so that the entire assembly lies flat.
Quilted Etched Dies
Ripple Rectangle Frames Dies
Wrap a one-inch-wide strip of paper around the navy paper and secure it with double-sided tape to create a band for the slider.
Align and adhere it beneath the 1-inch section of the Quilted Etched Dies paper.
Thread the slider—which is attached to the quilted-pattern paper—through the navy-colored paper. Adhere the quilted paper to the navy paper at a point 0.5 inches from the edge opposite the slider.
Check to see if it moves like this when you slide it.
Attach the back and bottom so that the Snow Globe stands upright when the slider is moved.
Apply adhesive to the Navy paper, 1 cm from the folded edge, and attach it to the card base (which opens to the side). On the opposite side, adhere a 0.5-inch section.
The sentiments that appear when you slide the piece were taken from the Tim Holtz "Festive Overlay" set. I attached the "'TIS THE SEASON" and "DECK THE HALLS" banners to the base of the Snow Glove.
Gloveの土台には 「’TIS THE SEASON」「 DECK THE HALL」のバナーを取り付けました。
For this project, I used the "Snow Globe" and "Holiday Truck" etched dies by Simon Hurley to create a snow globe-style card. It features a vintage truck—loaded with a Christmas tree and colorful gifts—driving through a snowy forest and past a row of houses. Another die set, "City Skating Scene Etched Dies By Simon Hurley , has also been released; I’m looking forward to using it—either on its own or combined with this design—to create a shaker card.

Welcome to my third post and project as a spotlighted guest atSimon Says Stamp Monday Challenges July! It's honored to share as spotlight guest designer with them.
I made a shaker card using Tim Holtz Sizzix happy hour die , Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Snarky cat stamp set and glass beads colored with Tim Holtz Alcohol ink. I stamped Snarky cat stampon a shrink plastic sheet with Staz On Pigment Piano Black ,shrunk with heater and colored them with Distress Crayons , and popped them in a shaker card or used them for decoration. I like to make shaker cards , because shaking it makes my smile face (^^♪
I cut those outlines with scissors, shrunk them with a heater, and colored them using a brush andmy fingers with Distress Crayons. And coated them with Glossy accents.
I poured Glass Beads into the cups, dripped Tim Holtz Alcohol ink (Citrus , Cranberry , Pool , Pistachio ) into them, stirred them . I waited for them to dry naturally.
I die-cut it using happy hourdie, covered the other half with sticky note and sprayed and sprinkled with Distress oxide spray Brushed corduroy . I stick a transparent sheet from the back, surrounded it with foam tape, put colored beads in it, stuck paper and confined it.
I used happy hour to die-cut paper already colored with Distress Oxide Spray with an umbrella, orange, lime, cherry, olive, etc. And decorated them into glasses with shrunk Snarky Cats on the background.
